Kam Wai Ko
52, of Bridgewater
passed away January 8, 2001 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
Born in Canton, China, he was a son of the late Man Tat and Mei Kwan
( Law ) Ko. In July, 1979, he opened and operated Ko’s Restaurant
in Bridgewater until the end of August, 2000, at which time, his brother
Raymond took over the ownership of the family business. He is survived
by his wife, the former Peggy Whynot; 2 daughters, Tracy and LeeAnn,
both at home; 4 brothers, Percy Lau, Bridgewater; Thomas Ko, Toronto;
Raymond Ko, Bridgewater; Micheal Ko, Hong Kong; 3 sisters, Agnes Lau,
Montreal; Helen Hau, Hong Kong; Alice Yip, Calgary. Visitation will
be held Thursday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral
Home, Bridgewater. Funeral mass will be held 10am Friday in St. Joseph’s
Roman Catholic Church, Bridgewater, Father Michael Walsh officiating.
Cremation will follow the mass. Family flowers only. Memorial donations
may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetic
Association.
