Gontran LeBel

Retired Major, 84, of Broad Cove, Lunenburg County, passed away November 5, 2001 at home. Born in St. Pascal, Quebec, he was the son of the late Flavius and Laura (Kirouac) LeBel. He is survived by step daughter, Caroline Marr, Broad Cove; step son, Georges DeRome, Beach Meadows; sisters, Rachel Pouliot, Florida; Andree Roy, Sept Islands. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Bengle). Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. A memorial mass will be held 10am Friday in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Bridgewater, Father Michael Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Broad Cove..
