Calvin William Ward

73, of Vogler’s Cove, passed away June 21, 2001 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Vogler’s Cove, he was the son of the late Darius W. and Lottie M. (Frank) Ward. He is survived by his wife the former Elizabeth Devine; sons Bill (Lila), Tantallon; Joseph (Judy), Vogler’s Cove; daughters Elaine (Laurence) Nauss, Mount Pleasant; Patricia (Brian) McAlpine, Scarborough, Ont.; Janine (Sandy) McDonald, St. John, NB; Carol (Mike) Gardner, Vogler’s Cove; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister Inga Cadieux, Ottawa. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Sunday, and the funeral service will be held 1:30 Monday both in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater, with Rev. Karen Ohrt officiating. Cremation will follow. No flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to the NS Heart and Stroke Foundation; the NS Diabetic Association; or to the South Shore Regional Hospital Echo Fund, or the charity of choice.
