James Spencer Woodsworth

71, of Mount Pleasant, passed away June 10, 2001 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Glenburne, Queens County, he was the son of the late James and Helen (Croft) Woodsworth. He was a veteran of the Second World War having served in the Merchant Marine. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24, Bridgewater. He is survived by his wife the former Roxie Isabel Conrad; sons Ronald (Carolyn) Woodsworth, Middlewood; Larry (Helen) Woodsworth, New Minas; Andrew Woodsworth, New Cumberland; Loran (Linda) Woodsworth, Italy Cross; daughters Sharon (Mrs. Miles Joudrey), Lake Center; Constance Woodsworth, Mount Pleasant; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Bertha, Burton, Helen, Edna, Margaret, Spencer, and Brenda. He was predeceased by a brother Edward. Visitation will be held this evening from 7-9 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater, with a public Legion tribute service being held at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, with Rev. David Whynot officiating. Interment in Harmony Cemetery. No flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to the family or to any charity.
