Ralph Arnold Doherty
73,
of Bridgewater passed away July 22, 2002 in the South Shore Regional
Hospital, Bridgewater after a courageous fight with cancer. Born in
Pickett’s Cove, New Brunswick, he was the son of the late Roy
and Blanche (Wiggins) Doherty. Ralph was employed with the T. Eaton
Company for many years, followed by 40 years in the jewellery industry
before his retirement from Charm Jewellery in Bridgewater. He is survived
by his wife, Doris (Fraser); his sons, Webster, Richard, Douglas, Trevor;
daughters, Florence Gemmill, Esther Dares, Susan Jackson, Linda Supple,
Nancy Doherty; 17 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Beulah
Doherty, Bernice Greer, Roberta MacCauley, Marlene Mercer, Jean Maston.
A memorial service will be held 2pm Friday in the Bridgewater United
Church, Rev. Ivan Norton officiating. A reception will follow in the
Christian Education Center of the Bridgewater United Church. There will
be no visitation at the funeral home by request. Family flowers only.
