Dulcie Verda Ellis

81, of Dartmouth, passed away December 14, 2002 in the Dartmouth General Hospital, Dartmouth. Born in Springhill, Cumberland County, she was the daughter of the late John Edward and Annie Blanch (Brown) McDermott. She was a school teacher in the Halifax area for 35 years until her retirement. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Ann Huntley (Dartmouth); grandson, Carson Way. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Killiam Ellis; brothers, Albert, Murray, Warren. Funeral arrangements have been transferred from Sweeny’s Funeral Home in Bridgewater to the A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland St., Dartmouth where visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held 9:30am Wednesday in the funeral chapel, Rev. Sandra Cox officiating. Burial will follow at 3:30pm in the Riverside Cemetery, Yarmouth. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
