Murray Creighton Lohnes

82, of Upper LaHave, Lunenburg County, passed away March 17, 2002 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Middle LaHave, he was a son of the late Harry and Leone (Corkum) Lohnes. He was a veteran of the Second World War, having served with the RCAF. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24 in Bridgewater. He was employed with National Sea and the Fisheries Museum until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Mulock); a daughter, Marion (Tom) Leahey, Halifax; grandchildren, Jamie, Keya and Michael. He was predeceased by a brother, Ronald. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. A graveside service will be held 2pm Tuesday in the St Matthew’s Cemetery, Upper LaHave, Rev. David Dellapinna officiating. No flowers by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the St Matthew’s Anglican Church, Upper LaHave through Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater or online at www.sweenysfuneralhome.com
