Ernest LeRoy Rafuse

82, of Camperdown, Lunenburg County, passed away October 2, 2002 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Middlewood, he was a son of the late Wilson and Leliah (Slauenwhite) Rafuse. He was a veteran of the Second World War. He is survived by his wife, Verlie (Huskins); daughters, Linda (Ronald) Naugler, Hebbs Cross; Marilyn (Wayne) Herman, Bridgewater; Cathy (Phillip) Crouse, Bridgewater; Maureen (Reggie) Penney, Camperdown; son, Douglas (Shirley), Maitland Bridge; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Slauenwhite, Riverport; Shirley (Aubrey) Wamboldt, Middlewood; Florence Wagner, Bridgewater; Marjorie (Leslie) Wile, Lower Branch; brothers, Myles (Ruby), Broad Cove; Fred, Middlewood; Stanley (Sharon), Middlewood; John “Jack” (Susan), Camperdown; Harold (Marie), Camperdown. He was predeceased by a son, Eric; brothers, Carl, Thomas, Charles, and 3 brothers in infancy; sister, Verna Croft. Visitation will be held Friday from 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater Funeral service will be held 11am Saturday in the Middlewood United Church, Middlewood, Rev. Karen Ohrt officiating. Burial will follow in the Middlewood United Church Cemetery. Family flowers by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Middlewood United Church, Middlewood or the N. S.
