Henry Robert Saulnier

Bridgewater, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2002, at South Shore Regional
Hospital, Bridgewater after a brief struggle with cancer. Born in Meteghan,
he was a son of the late James and Rita (Pothier) Saulnier. He worked
all his life in the health care industry, 6 years as Administrator of
the Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany and 22 years at Villa
Acadienne. He was a member of the Bridgewater Baptist Church. He was
a former member of the Lions Club, and the Long Term Care Association,
and was heavily involved in many health care issues and in community
organizations such as inter-church council, the LaHave Yacht Club and
palliative care initiatives. He is survived by his wife Carolyn (Driscoll);
sons, Todd (Glenda); Troy (Yvette); daughter, Allison McDonald (Jason);
granddaughters, Elora & Natalie (Todd & Glenda), all of Halifax;
sister Rosa (Pierre), Nictaux; many nieces & nephews. No visitations
or flowers by request. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday
at Bridgewater United Church, Rev. Thomas Harvey officiating. A reception
will follow. Donations may be made to the Cancer Society or Bridgewater
Baptist Church capital fund. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Sweeny’s
