Byron Samuel Zwicker
73, Bridgewater, passed away Friday, September 13, 2002 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Middlewood, he was a son of the late Ernest and Emma (Crouse) Zwicker. He was employed with MacKenzie’s Busline in Bridgewater for 42 years. He was a very active member and elder of the Bridgewater United Church, where he served as clerk of session for 23 years. He was a former secretary for the South Shore Presbytery and was a former scout leader for 10 years with the Boy Scouts. Surviving are his wife the former Marguerite Weagle. Sons, Derek (Norma), Quispamsis, NB; Martin (Elizabeth Hines), Hamilton, Ont. Three granddaughters, Heather and Jennifer, Quispamsis; Charlotte, Hamilton, Ont. Brother, Edson (Alice), Powell River, B.C., several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Lelia Kelly, infant brother Ellison. No visitation by request. Memorial service 11 a.m. Monday in Bridgewater United Church. Rev. Ivan Norton officiating. Private burial in St. James’ Anglican Cemetery, Conquerall Mills. No flowers by request, donations to the memorial fund of the Bridgewater United Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or charity of choice.
