Kathleen Sarah Jane Bruhm

94, of Upper LaHave and West Northfield, Lunenburg County, passed away peacefully at Hillside Pines, Home for Special Care, Bridgewater, on Sunday, October 5, 2003 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Western Shore on February 19, 1909, she was a daughter of the late James and Lettie Sawler. She is survived by her sons, Hector (Betty), Pinehurst; Ronald (Trudy), Rexdale, Ont.; Carol (Bernadette), Cookville; daughter-in-law, Elaine Bruhm, West Northfield; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; sisters, Faye Cross, Halifax; Hilda DeMone, Western Shore; Virginia Laing, Halifax; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilson Bruhm; companion, Johnson Lohnes; son, Cecil; sisters, Daisy Rafuse, Glennie Morash, Lila Rafuse, Florence Lyons; brothers, Noel, Owen, Fred, Francis, Reginald and 2 brothers in infancy. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday in Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, Upper LaHave, Rev. Fred Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, West Northfield. Family flowers only.
