Laurie Dexter DeLong

66, of Lac La Biche, Alberta, formerly of Bridgewater and Barss Corner passed away on May 1, 2003 in Alberta. Born in Bridgewater he was a son of the late Herman and Blanche (Risser) DeLong. Surviving are his wife the former Ann Himmelman. Children, Robert (Joanne), New Germany; Michael (Sherry), Meisners Section. Heather (Phillip) Young, Beaumont, AB; Nancy (Dave) Naugler, Calgary. Grandchildren; Alisha, Tonya, Taylor, Cody, Emma, Hunter. Brothers, Ottis (Estella), Barss Corner; Harry (Pauline), Springfield; Carl (Beatrice), Bridgewater. Sisters, Vivian (Ralston) Eisener, Farmington; Jean (Hubert) MacKay, New Germany. Numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandson, Ryan, brother, Vernon. Arrangements entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, #4895 route 10, New Germany. Memorial service will be 1p.m., Saturday in Barss Corner United Baptist Church, Barss Corner. Rev. Vaughn Henshaw officiating. Interment will follow in Barss Corner Community Cemetery.
