75, of Bridgewater, passed away suddenly January 11, 2002 at home. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, Paulette “Pat” (Zwicker) Gear; daughters, Theresa (John) Sarty, Bridgewater; Toni (Gary) Fralic, Wileville; Tracey, (Gary) Sarty, Bridgewater; Tammie Slauenwhite (Bruce), Bridgewater; stepdaughter, Tracy Carver, Dayspring; sons, Wade (Deanna) Gear, Upper LaHave ; Greg (Pam) Gear, Spectacle Lake; sister, Edna Gear Weldon, Bridgewater; brothers, Wilfred Gear, Lunenburg; Tom (Marg) Gear, Brantford, Ont.; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father, Thomas Clark Gear and mother, Dorothy Scott Reiser. He was a long time employee of the Town Of Bridgewater until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman and deer hunter. He loved to travel, yard sales and his mornings out for coffee with the boys and camping. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater and from where memorial service will be held 1:30pm Wednesday, Rev. William Gustafson officiating. Private burial will be in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice.
