80, Springfield, Annapolis Co., passed away Sunday, May 4, 2003, at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Seabrook, Digby Co., she was a daughter of the late William and Sarah (Ross) Porter. She was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church, Springfield. She is survived by her husband Lorenzo; daughters, Linda (Rick) Lewis, Eastern Passage; Sylvia, Halifax. Sons, Paul (Jocelyn); Dwayne (Sharon), both of Halifax. Grandchildren, Trina (Dan) Hebert, Rikk Lewis, Rhonda (Steve) Morris, Rayanne Mailman, Michael Harnish; great grandchild, Mitchell Harnish. Brother, Clarence, sister, Theta McGill, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Bruce; brothers, Fritz, Roy, Guy and Carl. Sisters, Kathryn Purdy and Kathleen Layfield. Visitation, 7 – 9 p.m., Tuesday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, #4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral 2 p.m., Wednesday in Springfield Baptist Church. Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Private family burial will follow in the church cemetery.
