83, Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., passed away Monday, August 11, 2003 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in LaHave, he was a son of the late Eldridge and Janet (Sperry) Publicover. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where he was also a choir member for many years. He was a former member of the Bridgewater Curling Club and the Bridgewater Fire Department where he worked up the ranks to the deputy chief. His career as a master motor vehicle mechanic, which spanned 40 years and included his years as the instructor for the Community College system. Surviving are his wife of 62 years,  the former Marjorie Wagner. Daughter, Melba (Lloyd) Ernst. Sons, Keith (Sandi), Carroll (Susan). Eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren. Sisters, Katleen (Leo) Creaser; Vivian (Leon) Whynot; Ola (Gilbert) Hirtle. Brother, Eric (Alda) Publicover. Numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Annie (Bruce) Publicover, Vesta (Keith) Wile; Gloria (Bernard) Earle. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m., Wednesday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Memorial service will be 11 a.m., Thursday in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bridgewater. Rev. Paul Jensen and Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Private interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
