Ralph Clarence Ronson

Of Hemford Forest, passed away in his 91st year, after a short illness at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Malahide Ontario, he was a son of the late Archie and Georgina Ronson. He was born October 13, 1911, raised and educated in St. Thomas Ontario, where he owned his own welding business. Ralph and his wife moved to Nova Scotia in 1974. In his early years in Ontario, he worked as a brakeman on the Walbash Railroad. He also worked as a welder on the Pipelines in Northern Ontario and owned a hunting and fishing Lodge at Sturgeon Bay. Before moving to Nova Scotia, he farmed in Hurst, Ont. Ralph was married to Laura (Ginger) Credgeur, who passed away in August of 1991. He was predeceased by one brother Arthur (1985) of St. Thomas, Ontario and a sister Leta Travail (1999) of Owen Sound, Ontario.  Ralph has one son, Robert of Straffordville Ontario and a sister Helen Thomas of St. Thomas Ont. He also leaves behind several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed by family and friends In keeping with Ralph’s request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater/New Germany. Interment will be in the family plot in Union, Ontario.
