Ruby Doris Beck

81, of Newcombville, Lunenburg County, passed away August 30, 2004 at home. Born on July 16, 1923, in Baker Settlement, she was a daughter of the late Amos and Etta (Rhodenizer) Wentzell. She worked at Sperry’s Restaurant; Creaser’s Factory in LaHave; Graves Canning Factory, Berwick. Later in life, she did housework for several people. She is survived by her brother, Cyril (Esther) Wentzell, Baker Settlement; her sister, Eudie Ritcey, Upper Branch; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Cecil; sister, Margaret Wile; brothers, Nahmen, Roderick, Everett and Harris in infancy. Visitation will be Wednesday from 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater and from where funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, Rev Pat Gow officiating. Burial will follow in the Baker Settlement Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or the Baker Settlement Cemetery Fund.
