Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Bruhm
71,
of Pinehurst, Lunenburg Co., closed her beautiful blue eyes one last
time to this world on Tuesday morning, March 2, 2004 at the South Shore
Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, where she was recovering from a major
surgery. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by family
and friends. She was an active member of the New West Pine United Church,
W&M Committee, Pinehurst Hall, she was President of the Willing
Workers Auxiliary and was a strong supporter of other organizations.
She will be remembered fondly by many for her years of volunteer work
in support of her community and her sincere interest in helping others.
She was the beloved daughter of Eliza Fader, Ontario and the late Perry
Fader; formerly of Maitland Bridge, Queens Co. She was the wife to Hector
Bruhm, Pinehurst; mother to Judy (Bob) Carver, Kitamat, B.C; Wendy (Dana)
Oickle, New Canada; Marsha Eisnor, Halifax; Perry (Sheena), New Germany;
John (Linda) Fader, Innerkip, Ont.; Grandmother to April (Jamie) Eisnor,
Halifax; Julie (Wayne) Pardy, Petawawa, Ont.; Christopher Oickle, New
Canada; Carley Carver; Kitamat, B.C.; Mason and Kyla, New Germany; great
grandmother to Joshua Eisnor, Halifax. She is also survived by sisters,
Jeanette (Jim) Landry, Spryfield; Rosalie (John) Fader; Annie (Bill)
McGee; Wanda (Ivan) Cole; brothers, Allister, Robert (Bernadette); Doug
(Sandra); Charlie Fader all of Ontario. She was predeceased by brother
Wilfred Fader. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday in Sweeny’s
Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral 1:30 p.m. Saturday in New West Pine
United Church, Pinehurst. Rev. Joan Conrad officiating. Burial will
follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, West Northfield. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia,
Pinehurst Community Hall, New West Pine United Church or charity of
