New Germany, Lunenburg Co., passed away Saturday, April 24, 2004 in
South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in St. John’s,
Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Ada (Taylor)
Cornick. She was a member of St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church,
New Germany where she was an active member of the former A.C.W. She
was a charter member of Rosedale New Horizons Senior Citizens Club,
New Germany. Surviving are her sons, W. David (Sandra), Lakeview; Donald
F. (Jean), Dartmouth; Douglas N. (Leticia), Stockton, California. Sister,
Jean M. Dawe, Halifax. Grandchildren, Diana, Brendan Jacob, Jeffrey,
several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Rev.
William H. Chard; brother, Norman. Keeping with Florence’s wishes,
there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral will be 2 p.m.,
Thursday in St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church. Rev. Tom Henderson
officiating. Family burial will follow in the church cemetery. No flowers
by request, donations may be made to St. John in the Wilderness Anglican
Church, Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany, New Germany and
Area Medical Centre or any charity. Funeral arrangements entrusted to
