85, Bridgewater, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2004 in Harbour View Haven Nursing Home, Lunenburg, where she had been residing. Born in Argyle, she was a daughter of the late William and Ziltha (Shaw) VanAmburg. Surviving are her sons, James (Marilyn), Fancy Lake; Gary, Bridgewater; daughter, Susan, Halifax. Grandchildren, Beth Ann (Scott) Norwood, Pine Grove; Peter (Kim), Bridgewater; two great grandchildren, Carman and Haley; two sisters, twin,Dora Hilchey, St. Jacobs, Ontario; Gertrude Stevens, Edmonton. She was predeceased by husband Beryl; brother, William; sister, Edith. Visitation 7 – 9 p.m., Sunday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral 1:30 p.m. Monday in Bridgewater United Baptist Church, Bridgewater. Rev. Pat Gow officiating. Burial will be in the Baptist cemetery, Cheggogin, Yarmouth Co. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Bridgewater United Baptist Church, Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia, Ghana Relief (GRID) or any charity.
