Effie Alegra Manthorne

89, of Bridgewater passed away September 14, 2004 at home. Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late Elam and Sevilla (Fisher) Weagle. She is survived by children, Anne (Russell) Major, Kentville; David (Rosaleen) Manthorne, Oakhill; Janet Manthorne, Bridgewater; Sandra (Wayne) Knickle, Bridgewater; Sharon (Larry) Rawding, Bridgewater; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Mickey (Gordon) Weagle, Bridgewater. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Wentworth Manthorne; sister, Mabel Zinck; 2 sisters in infancy; brothers, Angus, Ernest, Charles, Willie, Walter, Arthur. Visitation will be held Thursday from 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 2pm Friday in St Pauls Lutheran Church, Bridgewater, Rev Willis Ott officiating. Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Trigeminal Neuralgia Research, C/O Q E II Health Sciences Foundation 1278 Tower Road, Halifax, B3H 9Z9 or the Lunenburg County Palliative Care.
