New Germany, Lunenburg Co., passed away peacefully on Sunday, August
29, 2004 at home. Born in Simpsons Corner, he was the son of the late
Henry and Alice (Seamon) Ramey. He was a retired machine operator for
Bowater Mersey Paper Company. He was a member of St. John in the Wilderness
Anglican Church, New Germany. Surviving are his wife, the former Cassie
(Kay) Veinot. Daughters, Shirley (Chester) Lantz, Pinehurst; Janet (Gary)
Tipert, New Germany. Son, Vance (Sherry) Ramey, New Germany. Grandchildren,
Blair Lantz, Bonita Lantz-Carter, Benton Lantz; Nicole Brown, Adam Tipert;
L. Lee Ramey, Amber Ramey. Great grandchildren, Joshua and Madison Brown.
Brother, Harris (Phyllis) Ramey, New Germany and several nieces and
nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Inez Bridges, Beatrice Cail,
Mona Russell, Agnes Brown. Brothers, Swazey, Tyler and Eldred. Visitation
7 – 9 p.m. Tuesday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route
10, New Germany. Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. John in the Wilderness
Anglican Church, New Germany. Rev. Tom Henderson and Rev. Catherine
Robar officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family
flowers only, donations may be made to St. John in the Wilderness Anglican
