Corner, Lunenburg Co., passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2004 in Veteran’s
Unit of Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg, one day short
of his 85 birthday. Born in Scarsdale, he was the son of the late Milton
and Lola (Wentzell) Spidle. He was a veteran of the Second World War
serving with the Cape Breton Highlanders in Italy. He was a former member
of the Royal Canadian Legion, branch 102, New Germany. He enjoyed his
family visits, the nurses who he called angels and received much pleasure
from the cats. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Margaret
Penney. Sons; Malcolm (Connie), Robert (Judy), John (Sherri) all of
Barss Corner; Barry (Joanne), Newburne. Daughters, Joan (Stephen), Upper
Northfield; Judy (Bruce), Bridgewater. Grandchildren, Trevor (Lisa),
Newcombville; Tosha (Brandon), Thomas, Justin, Jasmine, Giselle; great
grandson Cole. He was predeceased by sisters, Ruth Silver, Jessie Bell,
Marion Penney. There will be no visitation or funeral service by personal
request. Memorial donations may be made to the DVA Unit of Fishermen’s
Memorial Hospital or charity of choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted
