John George "Jack" Bishop

63 - Bridgewater, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, at the QEII health sciences centre in Halifax on Saturday September 24, 2005,due to complications of cancer. Born in English Hr. West, NL He was the son of the late John and Frances (Baker) Bishop. Jack is survived by his wife Violet Bishop (Bullen) Sons Richard (Cindy) , Kevin (Maria) Bridgewater, Kirk(Janet) Tanners Settlement, John (Cindy) Yarmouth, and his only daughter Laura Lee Bishop, Halifax. His grandchildren, Shane (Jennifer), Selina, Robin, Blake, Marsha, Roseanne, Kirk, John, Jason, Jamie, Joshua, Simeon, Samantha, Ocean, Jonah, and Shakira. Brother William (Evelyn) Toronto, Sisters Gertie Baldo, Goldie Saar Sudbury ON. Cousin Ann Zwicker (Roger) Maitland. Lawrence Pardy (Tammie) Heartland NB. Besides his parents, Jack was predeceased by brothers Gerald and Joseph, His first wife Velma Bishop (Barkhouse). A memorial service to celebrate Jacks life will be held Friday, September 30at 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Anglican Church Alexandra Ave. Bridgewater, Father Ron Appleton officiating. No flowers by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the NS Lung Association, Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
