Cyril Deloney Himmelman

Of Halifax, passed away peacefully March 30, 2005 in the Veterans unit of Camphill Hospital, Halifax. Born in New Cumberland, February 22, 1927, he was a son of the late Austin and Mary Himmelman. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Cyril worked on Himmelman’s O K Boats at the age of sixteen for many years and then was with the Dock Yards and the Coast Guard. He loved the water. He was predeceased by his first wife, Aileen; second wife, Catherine; infant son, Gary; sister, Dora Girling; brothers, Whitford, Titus, Melvin and Stedman. In keeping with Cyril’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. Burial will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. No flowers by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to World Vision. Cyril’s sister-in-law, Pauline wishes to express her thanks to all the staff of the Veterans Unit for their excellent care they gave to Cyril during his stay there. May god bless you all.
