Douglas William Hubley

83, Cookville, Lunenburg County, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2005 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of the late Kenneth and Evelina (Frank) Hubley. Douglas was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where he was a member of the men’s choir. He was an honorary member of the Bridgewater Fire Department and member of the Royal Canadian Legion, branch 24, Bridgewater. Surviving are his wife the former, Marjorie Crouse; sons, Kenneth Douglas (Françoise), St. Catherines, Ont; Alan Charles (Marilyn), Whitehorse. Grandchildren, Patrick, Joanne, Blair; three nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Donald. Visitation will be 7 – 9 p.m. Monday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater and where funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. Keith Crouse officiating. Burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only, donations may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Bridgewater Fire Department.
