of Bridgewater, Lunenburg County, passed away suddenly along with her
husband Warren as a
result of a motor vehicle accident February 15, 2005. Born
in Chester, she was a daughter of the late Jeremiah and Mary Ellen (Barkhouse)
Payne. She was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Bridgewater branch
24 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Lions club. She was also a long time member
of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She is survived by her daughters
Gail (Archie) Garron, Sluice Point; Janice (Bob) Rafuse, East Chester;
Son Warren Gary (Karen), New Maryland N.B.; brothers Herman and Joe
both of Chester; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and several
nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Scott and Arnold;
sisters Blanch and Anne. Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 4
pm and 7 to 9 pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral
services will be held 2pm Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church,
Bridgewater, Rev. Mark Wagschal officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside
cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only please, memorial donations
may be made to the Veteran’s Memorial Park Project c/o Bridgewater
