Jean Elizabeth Murphy

71, Hebbville, Lunenburg County, passed away peacefully at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater on Saturday, April 2, 2005 after a brief illness. Born in Wolfville, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Cora (Whynot) O’Brien. Jean was a private person whose home, family and friends were first and foremost in her everyday thoughts and activities. Surviving are her husband, Robert (Bob) of 51 years; daughters, Marlene (Dwight) Backman, Ronda (Ronnie) Demont, all of Chester Basin; Trudy at home. Grandchildren, Heather and David; Great grandson, Cameron. Half brother, Fred Kelley, Wolfville; sisters, Shirley (Bill) Rafferty, Arizona; Carolyn (Donald) Lindsay, Stewiacke East; brother, Doug (Lynda), Ontario. She was predeceased by brother, Ronald. At Jean’s request cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation at the funeral home or memorial service. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to the Senior Wheels Association or charity of choice.
