Laura Rosalie Ritcey

91, of Blockhouse, Lunenburg County, passed away January 31, 2005 in the Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg. Born in Upper LaHave, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Anne (Corkum) Schmeisser. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and a former member of the Trinity United Church in Rose Bay. She is survived by her son, Geoffrey (Gloria Veinotte), Blockhouse; daughter, Dorothy (James Quirk), Montreal; 3 grandsons; 3 great grandsons. She was predeceased by her husband, Claude; 5 brothers. A memorial service will be held 2pm Wednesday in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater, Rev. Ivan Norton officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Shepherds Hill Cemetery, Riverport. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to charity of your choice.
