Gladstone Whynot
66, New Germany, Lunenburg Co., passed away suddenly
at home on Tuesday, March 29, 2005. Born in Lower Branch, he was the
son of the late Ethel C. (Mailman) (Whynot) Mader. He worked with the
former H.W. Brady Ltd., Steel and Engine Products, Liverpool and Nova
Scotia Power Corporation. He is survived by his common law wife, Marion
Uhlman, New Germany; former wife, Diane Zwicker, Bridgewater. Son, Dwayne
(Sharon), Italy Cross; daughters, Joanne (Ivan) Robar, Bridgewater;
Michelle, Halifax; three grand children. Brother, Melvin, Lower Branch;
sister, Alice Mulock, Dayspring; two half brothers, Brenton (Betty)
Mader, Gary (Shirley) Mader all of Lower Branch. Nephew, Gerald (Margaret
Anne) Whynot, Lower Branch, niece, Donna (Frank) Corkum, Dayspring.
He was predeceased by his step father, Harris Mader and sister, Mona
Whynot. Public visitation 2 – 4 p.m. Thursday in Sweeny’s
Funeral Home, Bridgewater. A private family graveside service will be
held in the Midville Branch Cemetery, Midville Branch, Rev. William
Gustafson officiating. Family flowers only, donations may be made to
the Canadian Diabetes Association, Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation,
Midville Branch Cemetery Fund or charity of choice. Online condolences
