Lester Eugene Acker

80, Springfield, Annapolis County, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Falkland Ridge, he was a son of the late Obediah and Gladys (Sarty) Acker. Surviving are his wife, the former, Marion Louise Harlow; daughter, Trudy (Danny) Covey, Yarmouth; son, Dwayne, Springfield; sister, Agnes (Douglas) Durling, Westfall; grandchildren, Amy Lynn and Adam James. He was predeceased by brothers, Malcolm and Merlin. Visitation 7 – 9 p.m. Thursday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral 2 p.m. Friday in Springfield United Baptist Church, Springfield. Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Springfield United Baptist church or charity of choice.
