Lawrence Daniel Copeland

90, Bridgewater, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 18, 2006 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater he was a son of the late Lawrence and Lovie (Snyder) Copeland. He was employed for 37 years as a locomotive engineer with the CNR. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Violet (Backman) Copeland; son, Robert (Christine), Scarborough, Ontario; daughter, Judith (Glen) Langille, Bridgewater; granddaughter, Anne Langille, Halifax, step grandchildren, Todd Langille, Calgary, Alb.; Lynn Schwartz, Westbank, BC; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, George; Charles; sisters, Jean Nault; Olive Fisher. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. Memorial Service 2 p.m. Monday in Bridgewater United Church, Bridgewater. Rev. Ivan Norton officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Canadian Kidney Foundation, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or charity of choice.
