Wayne Richard Haughn

60, Of Pleasantville, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, February 13, 2006. Born in West LaHave, he was a son of the late Austin and Hazel (Richards) Haughn. He went to sea at the age of 18 as an engineer and spent approximately 35 years at National Sea Products, Lunenburg, retiring in 1997 due to illness. Surviving are his wife the former, Darlene Publicover; daughters, Tracey (Kelly) Ernst; Tammy (Jeff) Hiltz. Son, Troy Haughn, Halifax. He will be greatly missed by grandchildren, Jordan Haughn, Kaitlyn and Katherine Ernst; Nicholas Logan and Jolie Haughn; mother in law, Norma Publicover, Pleasantville. Sisters, Shirley Parks, East LaHave; Frances Parks, Watertown, Mass; Phyllis Sperry, Halifax; Norma Stockman, Pleasantville. He was predeceased by brothers, Gerald in infancy and Thomas, Comox, BC. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater and where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday. Rev. Laurence Mawhinney officiating.
