Bertha Pearl Herman

93, of Bridgewater, formerly of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at Mahone Nursing Home on February 12, 2006. Born in Crousetown, Lunenburg County on December 23, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Samuel T. and Effie May (Fancy) Harmon. She is survived by daughter, Ethel and companion Theodore; son, Eugene and wife Sheila; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; half brothers, Dean, Ernest; Ronald, George; half sister, Marion; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband, Emerson; brothers, Frank, Gordon, Weston; sisters, May, Fannie; half brother, Harold; son-in-law, Arthur. Bertha’s body has been donated to Dalhousie University Medical Research. A memorial service will be held 2pm Wednesday, February 15 in the Bridgewater United Church, Rev Ivan Norton officiating. A private committal service will be held at a later date. In memory of Bertha, memorial donations may be made to the Bridgewater United Church or the charity of your choice.
