RETIRED DARTMOUTH FIREFIGHTER DIES
Robert MacLeod
67, Lower Branch, formerly of Dartmouth, passed away on Monday, March
27, 2006 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Dartmouth,
he was a son of the late Dr. Alexander and Dorothy (Beazley) MacLeod.
Bob was a former employee of the Halifax Fire Services, having retired
after 30 years of service. He was a man who loved life, a good laugh,
a good cup of Tim’s coffee and he loved his music and pets. He
is survived by his wife, the former, Carole Keeping; children, Berk
(Kelly) Hatcher, Cole Harbour; Traci (Dwight) Whynot, Branch LaHave;
grandchildren, Victoria Hatcher, Joshua Whynot. He was predeceased by
his first wife the former Lauria Cross; sister, Sandra MacLeod. Cremation
has taken place under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home,
Bridgewater where visitation will be 7 – 9 p.m. Wednesday and
1-3 p.m. Thursday with memorial service at 3 p.m. Rev. James Haughn
officiating. A private family interment at a later date in Hillside
Cemetery, Branch LaHave. Family flowers only, donations may be made
to Canadian Cancer Society or SHAID Animal Shelter. Online condolences
