Norma Mae Whynot

72, of Branch LaHave, Lunenburg County, passed away December 20, 2006 in the Harbour View Haven, Home for Special Care, Lunenburg. Born in Conquerall Bank, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Sybil (Haines) Oakes. She is survived by daughter, Dawn at home; son, David (Elaine), Crousetown; grandchildren, Kari-Lynn and Michael; great grandchild, Jordan; sisters, Margaret Whynot, Branch LaHave; Joan Veinotte, Mahone Bay; brothers, Donald (Marilyn), Conquerall Bank; Richard (Betty), New Elm; Filmore (Wendy), Liverpool. She was predeceased by her husband, Leland; son Barry; brother, George. A memorial service will be held 11am Friday in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater, Rev. William Gustafson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Branch LaHave. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. Family flowers only.
