Marie (Peterson) Wile
85, Springfield, Annapolis County, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2006 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Sandy Point, Shelburne County, she was the eldest daughter of the late James and Florence (Nickerson) Peterson. Edith was a member of the Springfield Fire Department auxiliary for 27 years; seven years as president, twenty as treasurer. She was a past Noble Grand of the former Linden Rebekah Lodge 97, member of Ernest S. Mason Missionary Society; she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Germany. Edith was a loving wife, mother and friend. Her caring and ability to listen will be missed. There is a place in our hearts that will never be filled. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Laurie St. Clair Wile; New Germany; daughters, Carolyn (Rod) Gosse, Dartmouth; Judith (Gordon) Penny, Tremont; Heather (Bradley) Nickerson, New Germany; grandchildren, Robyn (Gary) Zwicker, Melanie (Carson) Greencorn, Adam, Tanya, Christopher; great granddaughter, Racheal Marie; sister, Myrna (Bill) Brant; brother, Norman; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by infant son, Laurie Jr., sisters, Wilhemina, Rosetta; brothers, William and Earle. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. A private family service will be held at a later date in Springfield Baptist Church cemetery, Springfield. No flowers by request, donations may be made to Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery.
