Roy Enos Fraser

87, of Dayspring, Lunenburg County, passed away November 17, 2007 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater Born in Dayspring, he was a son of the late Angus and Ethel (Cook) Fraser. He was a veteran of the Second World War serving overseas where he was wounded in action. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24, Bridgewater. He was well known for his work as a blacksmith. He was an avid Salmon fisherman and hunter. He is survived by sons, Carmon (Betty), Bridgewater; David (Paulette), Rhodes Corner; daughter, Gloria Fraser, Mount Uniacke; grandchildren, Brent, Shaun, Darren, Denise, Ryan, twins Damon and Daniel; Gillian, Andrew; numerous great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Verna Elizabeth (Rhodenizer); sisters, Jean, Emily, Theresa; brother, Murray and twin brothers, Ronald and Donald in infancy; sister, Ethel in infancy. Visitation will be held in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater, Tuesday from 4 to 8pm with a public legion tribute service being held at 7pm and from where funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday , Legion Padre Rev. Robert Coote officiating. Burial will follow in the Dayspring Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Dayspring Fire Hall. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Veteran’s Memorial Park, Bridgewater or the charity of your choice.
