Cornelius Alfred Gabriel

85, Cherryfield, passed away, Thursday, June 7, 2007 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Cherryfield, he was a son of the late Michael and Freda (Whynot) Gabriel. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving with the Merchant Marines. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, branch 102, New Germany and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are his daughters, Angela, Marneta; sons, Gary, Denis, Michael, Tony, Garth, Dexter and Bob; 10 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Mary; brothers, Paul and Robert; infant daughter, Carolyn. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Private service will be held at a later date. No flowers by request, donations to the charity of choice.
