MWO Terrence Phillip Patrick McEntee
50
– of Bridgewater, passed away 6 February 2007 at the Queen Elizabeth
II Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Montreal Quebec, he was
a son of Alice (Aubin) and Phillip McEntee. Master Warrant Officer Terry
McEntee CD was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces and served 33 years
in the Canadian Military Engineers. His regular force service included
postings to Chilliwack, BC; Wainwright, AB; Winnipeg, MB; North Bay
and Petawawa ON; and Greenwood NS. He also served on peacekeeping duties
in the Sinai Desert, the Golan Heights, Cyprus and Bosnia. In 1999,
MWO McEntee transferred to the reserve force and accepted a position
with 14 Airfield Engineering Squadron in Lunenburg County NS. At the
time of his death MWO McEntee was in charge of operations and training
for 143 Airfield Engineering Flight, was Senior Reserve Trade Advisor
for all 600 series occupations and was also the acting flight warrant
officer. MWO McEntee’s medals and decorations included the Special
Service Medal (Alert bar), the Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal,
NATO-FY, UNICYP, UNEF II, UNDOF, and Canadian Forces Decoration with
two clasps. He is survived by his wife Judy Silver; step daughter Jodi
Lynn Harris, Alberta; sisters Maureen (Archie) Bassel; Donna (David)
Jones; brothers Danny and Brian; uncle Father Thomas McEntee. A memorial
service will be held 1pm Friday at Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater,
Lt. (N) Jack Barrett officiating. No flowers by request. Memorial donation
may be made in Terry’s memory to the QE II Health Sciences Centre,
Halifax; the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Canadian
