Helen Phyllis Shand

77, of Hebbville, Lunenburg County, passed away January 1, 2007 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Shag Harbour, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Lillian (Nickerson) Perry. She was employed as a CNA with the Dawson Memorial Hospitals in Bridgewater for over 30 years. She is survived by her husband, Carroll; daughters, Mona (Earl) Flemming, Coldbrook; Madelyn (Peter) Bowers, New Germany; sons, Michael (Sharon) Shand, Allendale; Kirk (Doreen) Shand, Whites Lake; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Geraldine (Jerry) Blades, Shag Harbour; brothers, Lewis (Janet) Perry, Dartmouth; Greg (Gloria) Perry, Coldbrook. She was predeceased by her brother, Newton Perry. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 5pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. A public graveside service will be held 11am Thursday in the Hebbville Cemetery, Rev Ivan Norton officiating. Family flowers only.
