Vera Margaret Beck

83, Watford, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Monday, May 12, 2008, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool. Born in Watford, she was a daughter of the late Sanford and Jennie (Silver) Veinot. She was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Upper Northfield, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are her husband, G. Calvin Beck; daughters, Janice (Larry) Holland, Watford; Linda (Donald) Durling, Victoria Mines, Cape Breton; grandchildren, Kevin (Waleska) Holland, Houston, Tex.; Matthew (Tara) Holland, Fredericton, N.B.; Belinda (Gary) Deveaux, Victoria Mines; James Durling (Lori), Toronto; niece, Jennie Meisner; nephews, Ivan Veinot and Michael Hall. She was predeceased by infant brother, Ivan; sisters, Ola Ernst, Goldie Hall. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday in Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Rev. William Gustafson officiating. Private family burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Upper Northfield. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Mount Calvary Lutheran Church or The Arthritis Society.
