Walton William Cook
Of
Wentzell Lake, Lunenburg County, passed away April 20, 2008 at home.
Born May 12, l933, he the son of the late Lenwood and Helen Amelia (Wentzell)
Cook. Walton was a MLA from 1970 until 1974. He was a member of the
Lunenburg Fire Department. He joined the Masons in 1957, becoming a
member of the New Germany Chapter. He was a master mason, a royal arch
mason; past master of Unity Lodge, Lunenburg. Walton was a thirty two
degree Shriner. He would have received his fifty year jewel this year.
Walton began his law career as prosecutor for the city of Halifax. Walton
then moved to Lunenburg in 1962 and opened his own practice, until his
recent retirement. Walton was appointed to Queens Council during his
time practicing law in Lunenburg. He is survived by daughter, Denyse
Vashti Flower (Walter); son, Jeffrey Walton Cook (Krista); grandchildren,
Alexandra (Allie) Walter III and William.In keeping with Dad’s
wishes, there will be no memorial service. Visitation will be held Thursday,
April 24 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater,
with cremation to follow. No flowers by request. In lieu of flowers,
memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of
Nova Scotia or a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made
