Vernon John Crouse
65
of Camperdown Lunenburg County, passed away Sunday August 31st in the
South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater he was
the son of Mary (Hatt) and the late Herlan Crouse. Vernon was a member
of Christ Lutheran Church in Camperdown. He loved trucking and working
on trucks, he had traveled to all of the lower 48 United States and
every province in Canada racking up over 5 million miles during his
trucking career. Family was very important to Vernon, in particular
his grandchildren, and when he was home he spent as much time with them
as he could. The family wishes to extend an invitation to all truckers
to bring their trucks with them to the service. Vernon is survived by
his wife Paulette; daughters Karen (Clay) Weagle, Bridgewater; Shari
(Chris) McCreanor, London Ontario; Tammy (Todd Childs), Wileville; son
David (Tammy), Bridgewater; Grandchildren Steven and Jordan McCreanor;
Dustin and Cameron Crouse; Noland and Dominique Arenburg. He was predeceased
by his brother Harold. Visitation
will be held 7 to 9 PM Tuesday September 2 in Sweeny’s Funeral
Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 11AM Wednesday September
3in Christ Lutheran Church, Camperdown, Rev. Catharine House officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery. There will be an escort of
fellow truckers for Vernon departing from Sweeny’s Funeral Home
at 9:30AM Wednesday and going to Christ Lutheran Church, any truckers
wishing to participate will be welcomed. Immediate family flowers only,
please. Memorial donations in Vernon’s memory may be made to Christ
Lutheran Church, Camperdown, the Parkinson Foundation or the charity
