Randall Scott "Randy" Crowell
46
of LaBelle, Queens County, passed away peacefully after a brief and
courageous battle with lung cancer at his home overlooking Ponhook Lake
surrounded by his family on January 26, 2008. Randy had worked for 8
years as a 4th class stationary engineer and fuel handler for Brooklyn
Power Corporation. Randy had a passion for anything mechanical from
an early age and loved the hours he and his good friends spent in his
garage. Randy also enjoyed fishing and boating on area lakes and rivers.
Randy’s life was made complete when he and Karen were recently
blessed with the birth of their daughter Rachel. Randy’s family
was his greatest joy. He is survived by his wife, Karen; daughter, Rachel;
mother, Barb (Jack) Galley; brothers, Richard (Jackie); Darryl (Kathleen);
niece, Amy (Bryan Trochim). He was predeceased by his sister, Deborah
Lee Crowell. A memorial service will be held 1:30pm Tuesday in the Greenfield
Baptist Church, Pastor Dennis Nickerson officiating. Burial will follow
in the Pine Rest Cemetery, Greenfield. A reception will be held in the
church hall. No flowers or visitation by request. In lieu of flowers,
memorial donations may be made to a Trust Fund for his daughter Rachel’s
education in the name of “Karen Crowell in trust for Rachel Crowell”.
