Lois Drew

72 of Newburne, Lunenburg Co. passed March 8 2008 away at the QE2 Health Sciences Centre, VG Site, Halifax. Born in Toronto Ontario she was the daughter of the late George and Reta (Boyd) Martin. Lois enjoyed organizing events and activates along with camping at the LaHave River Camp Grounds. She also bowled for many years and was active with the UNICEF children’s charity. She is survived by her husband Merville; daughters Cathy Neal, Toronto; Bonnie (Rex) Veinot, Maplewood; son Michael (Patti), New Germany; step son Doug (Lynn) Drew; sister Grace Paul, Bancroft Ontario; grandchildren Venessa, Ryan, Ashley, step grandchildren Nikki and Josh; step great granddaughter Myla; several nieces and nephews. Lois was predeceased by her sisters Ruth Martin and Dorothy Maynard; brother Norman Martin. Visitation will be held 7 to 9 PM Tuesday at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, # 4895 Highway 10, New Germany. Funeral service will be 11 AM Wednesday at the Emmanuel United Baptist Church, Parkdale, Rev. Jennifer Joudrey officiating. A private family burial will follow the service in the Barss Corner Community Cemetery. Family flowers only, please.
