James William Hirtle

32, of Mount Pleasant, Lunenburg County, passed away Friday 29 February 2008 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater, he was the son of William and the late Christine (Corkum) Hirtle. He was an advocate for Fabry’s research at the NIH Hospital in Maryland. Jamie is survived by his father William Hirtle; sister, Nancy Wilson, Halifax; paternal grandmother, Minnie Hirtle; maternal grandmother, Berlie Corkum. He is predeceased by his mother Christine; paternal grandfather Marshall Hirtle; maternal grandfather Robert Bruce Corkum. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held 11 am Tuesday March 4 at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Bridgewater, Rev. Ron Appleton officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the spring. Flowers will be accepted and memorial donations in Jamie’s memory may be made to the Kidney foundation. The family would like to thank everyone at the Rosedale Home for Special Care in New Germany and also Pete’s Place in Mount Pleasant for their kindness and caring.
