77, New Germany, Lunenburg County, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at home. Born in New Germany, he was a son of the late Melborne and Mary (Mossman) Leary. George was a school bus driver for many years and was also an avid farmer. Surviving are his daughter, Eva Leary, New Germany; son, William (Alice) Leary, New Germany; sister, Gladys Keddy, New Germany; grandchildren, Elaine, Sherry, Rena, James, Kevin, Mary, Kimberly; great grandchildren, Taylor, Riley, Izaiha, Austin; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Jennie (MacKay) Leary; sister, Alice Weaver; brothers, Melborne and Max. Visitation 7 – 9 p.m. Tuesday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday in Epworth United Church, New Germany. Rev. Ivan Norton officiating. Interment will follow in Epworth Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Epworth United Church.
