Janet Catherine Meisner

66 of Bridgewater passed away on Saturday, 29 November 2008 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater surrounded by her loving family. Born in Scotland, she was the daughter of the late William and Janet (Murray) Rodger. Janet was a long time member of the Newcombville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Rosedale Horizons Sr. group and the Christians Women’s club. She is survived by her daughter Nicola (Matthew) Rafuse, Wileville and her two grandchildren, who have been her pride and joy since coming into her life, Emma Catherine Ann and Jacob Matthew Stephen Rafuse. Janet was predeceased by her husband Emmerson and brother Ralph Rodger. Visitation will be held 7 to 9 PM Tuesday 2 December in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 11AM Wednesday 3 December in the Bridgewater Open Bible Church, Pastor Jeff Woodcock officiating. Burial will follow in the Newcombville cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Memorial donations in Janet’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of the Children’s Wish Foundation.
