In Memory of
Florence Elizabeth O’Brien
92, of LaHave, Lunenburg County, passed away peacefully
on Friday, December 5, 2008 at Northwood Centre, Halifax following a
prolonged illness. Born in Mount Pleasant, she was a daughter of the
late John Rogers and Mae Selina (Meisner) Wamback. Florence leaves behind
her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Dorothy O’Brien, Lower Sackville;
daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Dave Flinn, Ontario; daughter and
son-in-law, Jane and Jim Arbeau, New Brunswick; grandchildren Paula
(Peter)Hopkins, Bridgewater; Thomas (Erin) O’Brien, Alberta; Daniel
O’Brien, Lower Sackville; Jamie Arbeau, New Brunswick; Brea Arbeau,
Ontario; and great-grandchildren Jack, Faith and Audrey O’Brien,
Alberta. She was preceded by her husband Jack, brothers Theodore and
Arthur, sisters Vera (Corkum), Rhoda (Nickerson) and Gertrude (Smith).
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral
Home, Bridgewater and there will be no visitation. A memorial service
will be held at 2pm, Friday April 17, 2009 in the West Side United Church,
Pentz, Rev. Neil McEwen officiating. Donations in Florence’s memory
may be made to West Side United Church or to Northwood Centre 9 C. Online

care afforded Florence during her years there.
